How to Choose the Right Clutch (Quick Guide)
Power & Use Case: Daily, spirited street, track, drift, drag, or towing?
- Power & Use Case: Daily, spirited street, track, drift, drag, or towing? Match torque rating to wheel torque with 15–25% headroom.
- Friction Material:
- Organic: Best street manners.
- Kevlar: Longer life, gentle on flywheels.
- Ceramic/Puck: Highest heat/holding for track & big-power builds.
- Pressure Plate: Higher clamp = more holding; look for street-friendly pedal effort designs.
- Flywheel:
- Single-mass for response & serviceability.
- Dual-mass for NVH control on luxury platforms.
- Install Kit: Always pair with new pilot/throwout bearings and consider hydraulic refresh.

Clutch Upgrade FAQ
1) What clutch “stage” do I need?
“Stages” vary by brand. Use torque rating vs. wheel torque and your use case. Daily cars with mild tunes usually suit organic or kevlar. Track or drift builds often need ceramic or multi-plate.
2) Should I change the flywheel when doing a clutch?
Highly recommended. A new or resurfaced flywheel ensures proper friction, engagement height, and fewer vibrations—especially when switching materials or “stages.”
3) How long is clutch break-in?
Plan 500–1,000 km of normal, low-heat driving with varied RPM and minimal slipping. Follow the brand’s instructions shipped with your kit.
4) Will a heavier clutch ruin daily drivability?
Not if you choose the right kit. Modern pressure plate designs keep pedal effort close to stock even with higher clamp force. Tell us your goals—we’ll keep it streetable.
5) Do you warranty clutches?
We’re authorized for the brands we sell, so you get the full manufacturer warranty (defects only). Clutches are wear items—proper install and break-in are required for coverage.
